North Harbour’s new public destination in Copenhagen is set to open this spring with the final piece of the puzzle: the historic Customs House.

Slated to open in February, this restored building—originally constructed in 1919—completes the transformation of The Tip’s public spaces. It features a grand public staircase, seamlessly meandering from the inside’s winter garden towards the outside’s panoramic views of the sea. Combined with the varied urban landscaping, it creates a modern Copenhagen classic that serves as a vibrant meeting point and an iconic destination.

Key elements of the project have already welcomed the public since January 2024. Law firm Bech-Bruun, CIP (Copenhagen Infrastructural Partners), a lush public winter garden, and an additional dining venue, Café NordØ, have all set the stage for this urban renewal, heralding a new era for the area. The Customs House will be housing restaurant Sushi Anaba.

The Tip project, located at the tip of Redmolen in Copenhagen’s North Harbour, spans a 25,000 m² development along with 8,200 m² of landscaped public spaces. Designed by Third Nature in collaboration with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects and Cobe, the project seamlessly blends historical elements with contemporary design to create an accessible urban haven, marking the conclusion of the first phase of North Harbour and establishing a new landmark in modern Copenhagen.
