Third Nature selected among five for Refshaleøen Structural Plan Competition. Spanning 115 hectares, Refshaleøen is a key harbor area central to the Copenhagen’s urban development. This prestigious selection follows a competitive process where 22 of the country’s leading architectural firms, consultants, and several esteemed international partners submitted their proposals following the EU tender published in May 2024.
Our team, which carried forward our previous focus on #Reorganise, #REvitalise, #REgenerate, #Remix and #REgulate from our prized proposal for the initial idea competition, will now expand on these principles with enhanced urban competencies. Third Nature will formally lead our team in the role as full-service consultant, alongside our talented partners Arup, BRIQ, Aaen Engineering, Over Byen Architects, DGE Danmark, Rune Kilden, Svante Lindeburg, and Anupama Kundoo.
The selection process was rigorous, with Refshaleøens Ejendomsselskab and Udviklingsselskabet By & Havn carefully evaluating each proposal based on criteria including organizational strength, team composition, process, design approach, and pricing.
Being chosen among the top five teams underscores our commitment to excellence and our innovative approach to urban development. We eagerly anticipate the project’s kick-off and are excited about the opportunity to shape the future of this iconic Copenhagen district.
