Our long-awaited harbor development at Nøstet in Bergen is now on the market.

Situated on one of the most desirable waterfront plots in the city, the project introduces 96 apartments of various sizes, from intimate studios to spacious family residences. Perched right by the sea and close to the heart of Bergen, this development will bring new life to a historic district by blending modern design with the area’s unique heritage.

Reconnecting Bergen to the fjord

The project has been in progress since 2018, when Third Nature and Mad Arkitekter entered the project competition and began shaping an ambitious vision that merges architecture, landscaping, and a commitment to circularity. The master plan prolongs the main street toward a new harbor promenade while ensuring that the buildings themselves open up towards the fjord. This allows more natural light and panoramic views for the entire neighborhood. The project also includes lively public squares and a public playground, ensuring that residents and visitors alike can enjoy Bergen’s waterfront in an inviting setting.

An FutureBuilt community

The development features 96 homes ranging from 40 to 120 square meters in a borettslag (cooperative housing) model. Move-in is planned from the second quarter of 2027, marking a significant step forward in the transformation of this historic site. We extend our gratitude to OBOS, EGD, and Bergen Municipality for supporting our shared vision. We look forward to welcoming new residents to this extraordinary community, where the best of Bergen’s natural beauty and urban convenience converge right at the water’s edge.

The project is accepted into Norway’s FutureBuilt innovation program due to its use of circular materials. Read more about the project at OBOS.
